In Greek mythology, Chthonic deities represent gods who bring death as well as those who give life and fertility. The mother goddess Demeter is also worshipped as Chthonia Thea. The posture of the protagonists is also reminiscent of the depiction of the Indian goddess Kali and combines the supposedly incompatible:

This mother-to-be is neither a-sexual nor merely receptive. She is the creator of life and oscillates between dominatrix and goddess. Despite the BDSM setup and the extreme choice of colors, the image is carried by a deep harmony and loving devotion.

Artistic concatenation: different artistic genres are experienced one after the other in the creative process: performance becomes photography becomes light painting becomes work.
